Connection Problems

Trouble connecting? Here's how to fix it.

Quick Checks

  1. Can you load other websites?
  2. Using Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge?
  3. Logged in?
  4. Balance at least $2?

"Call Failed"

ErrorFix
Insufficient balanceAdd funds ($5 min top-up) so balance is at least $2
Invalid numberCheck format (+1 555 123 4567)
Network errorCheck internet, retry
Service unavailableWait and retry

"Device Not Ready"

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Check microphone permission
  3. Try Chrome
  4. Clear browser cache

Incoming Calls Not Ringing

  1. Keep tab open (closing = offline)
  2. Check for green "Ready" status
  3. Enable browser notifications
  4. Disable system do-not-disturb

Dropped Calls

During call:

  • Unstable internet
  • Other party hung up
  • Hit 2-hour limit

Before connecting:

  • Invalid number
  • Busy
  • Network blocks VoIP

Laggy Calls

  1. Close other tabs
  2. Wired connection
  3. Stop streaming/downloads
  4. Need 1 Mbps up/down

Firewall Issues

Corporate networks may block VoIP:

  1. Try personal WiFi or mobile data
  2. Ask IT to allow WebRTC
  3. VPN might help (or hurt)

Required ports:

  • UDP 10000-60000 (media)
  • TCP 443 (signaling)

Browser Support

Works:

  • Chrome 70+ (best)
  • Firefox 65+
  • Safari 12+
  • Edge 79+

Doesn't work:

  • Internet Explorer
  • Old browsers
  • Some mobile browsers

Test Your Connection

Speed: speedtest.net (need 1 Mbps each way)

WebRTC: test.webrtc.org (should show green)
